Will B Robinson was an architectural draughtsman and illustrator who specialised in industrial subjects, views of international exhibitions and decorations. He contributed regularly to The Illustrated London News (1892-1900) and The English Illustrated Magazine (1895-97).

J J Joass trained as a junior in the office of Burnet, Son and Campbell in Glasgow, leaving in 1889 to join the office of Sir Rowand Anderson in Edinburgh where he also studied at the College of Art. In 1892 Joass won the RIBA Pugin Prize and Travelling Studentship and in 1892 went to
London where he entered the office of Sir Ernest George. A superb water-colourist Joass was awarded the RIBA Owen Jones Prize in 1895. In 1906 Joass joined the office of John Belcher who was his partner until Belcher's death in 1913. Buildings designed by Joass in partnership with Belcher include: Mappin & Webb, Oxford Street, W1 (1906-1908), Royal Insurance Building at St James's Street and Piccadilly SW1 (1907-1909), The Royal Society of Medicine, Henrietta Street, WC1 (1910-1912), Whiteley's, Bayswater, W2 (1910-1912). Other buildings designed by Joass include: Lex Garage, Brewer Street, Soho, W1, (1920's), Mappin & Webb, Regent Street, W1, (1922).
